Homework Challenge E1

Learn An Instrument

Keyboard

Summary: I have been playing keyboard and having lessons since term three in 2012, I have set a goal for myself of completing the second book in the series. I practice every night for 20 minutes and have my lessons on Tuesdays. I am currently on the first book, 10 pages away from the final piece.

What Is A Keyboard?
A keyboard is  basically like a piano except for the fact that it is electronic. Keyboards are slightly smaller in length. They also have different features, you can choose from a range of beats and instruments. My keyboard has mini lessons, it teaches you timing, what keys to play, when to play the various keys and then you play it all together.

Why I Would Recommend This Instrument?
I would recommend keyboard because it teaches you how to read music. Once you can read music you can play mostly any notes in front of you. You learn lots about musical history and as you progress you will learn some famous songs. You can also buy sheet music for newer songs, once you have learned them you can play them different tempo/style. Those are the various reasons why I like keyboard.

Honors Badge:
I have earned two quarters of my Honors Badge from keyboard, without this I would not have been able to hand my sheet in.
