Rimu Swimming Sports 2013
At the start of the day we walked down to Memorial Pools for our Rimu House swimming sports. We left at 8:50. Room 41 was in the front followed by room 42. Then the year sevens followed on. When we reached the pools we headed to the changing rooms, when we got out we were lectured by the teachers on how to line up for our events. I competed in 5 of the events and placed in 4, I competed in 25m freestyle, 25m backstroke, 25m breaststroke, 25m doggie paddle and underwater. In the events we received ice cream sticks in different colours depending on our placing... I received one second and 3 thirds. The highlight of my day was competing with my friends and talking about who was going to win before the race. I enjoyed 25m freestyle because it is the only event that I am good at. A memory I would keep of swimming sports is hanging out with my friends when we weren't competing.
