Third World Countries

Third world countries are countries that suffer extreme poverty and are fighting for survival. Some third world countries include Malawi, Madagascar & Afghanistan. An average citizen of Malawi spends $1.60 per day. They receive just under $1000 dollars a year if they are lucky. The term Third World is commonly used to describe developing countries of Asia & Africa etc. New Zealand is a first world country as it says on the map, as we are quite a developed country. Even though 1/6 of people in New Zealand are living in poverty. Malawi is classified as a Third World country because the majority of land there is drylands and forests. People are forced to survive by hunting and scavenging.
